Focus on: Glen Canyon Park

Our group decided to focus on Glen Park.
On Saturday we went to spend the time to see where Islais Creek is born, how it is, what surrounds it etc etc ...It was very hot, such a beautiful day to take a walk and enjoy the landscape!

When I first arrived I was surprised by the lush greenery of the park.

The park is very Huge, we visited only the bottom part.

Now you could see the place where born islais creek, from there we took the path that runs along the creek.

This was one of the most important rivers of San Francisco, now what is left is just a small stream that flows into a beautiful park. Glen Park seems an excerpt of San Francisco at the time of golden rush.
You can't always see clearly the creek, because for the most part it is covered by plants, some of which are carefully cataloged.

In some parts, the creek seems to disappear underground, in other parts we can see the shimmer of water.

Along the route there are several signs explaining the wildlife that lives within the park, highly protected to preserve the different types of species.

During our walk we noticed that the park is frequented by many people for a walk, jogging or take out the dogs.
In these two hours we started to become familiar with the area, we observed around us, took photos and videos and recorded our position with GPS.
Glen park is a really fascinating place, a quite oasis in the middle of the noisy city.
